Ohm’s Law Explanation

In this article I build an ohms law calculator that can help you find the results of Ohm’s law calculations.

This calculator that I made can calculate ohm’s law by only entering two inputs, it’s up to you to enter any parameters.

For example, you enter the value of voltage and current, then the results will appear for resistance and power, and so on

Based on the experiments of Georg Simon Ohm (1787 – 1854), he found that voltage, current and resistance are related. The basis of this relationship is known as Ohm’s Law (Ohm Law).

Ohm’s Law is the most basic science in electricity. Resistance is the term for the ability of a resistor to withstand current. Ohm is the unit of resistor.

Ohm explains that “as the voltage applied to a resistor increases, the current through the resistor also increases”.

And vice versa, “if the voltage applied to a resistor is reduced, the current through the resistor will decrease”.

In addition, Ohm’s Law can be explained that “if a constant voltage is applied to a resistor, a small value of resistance will pass a large current”.

And vice versa, “if the value of resistance is large will pass a small current”.

Basic Formulas of Ohm’s Law

Ohm’s law formula basically only consists of the relationship between Current, Voltage and Resistance which is shown below:

I = Current (A)
V = Voltage (V)
R = Resistor (Ohm)

From the basic formula above, we can find Electric Power (Power) in Watts.

I have provided an ohm law calculator above to make it easier for you to do the calculations.
