How to Fix Proteus Error

Did you install Proteus software and get the error “Symbol “$MKRMISSING” used but not found in libraries” when creating a new project?
Proteus is the best choice of many electronics users to simulate microcontroller projects. Its easy of GUI and supported very large library of components.

However, some of the problems that are often encountered during the installation process are the Symbol MKRMISSING error.
With some testing and searching for these errors, here I will tell you how to solve them.
Before we go on, here I used Proteus 8.10 Version. Maybe this canto be applied to previous or later versions.
The fix this Error are:
- Right click on Proteus App
- Click Properties
- Click the Compatibility menu
- In the Compatibility mode section, check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” checklist
- Select Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
- Click Apply

Then please reopen the Proteus Software, then create a new project. You will not see the error.
